Fingers Crossed

Fingers Crossed

As a follow up to last week's post, today (with help from my amazing roommate, Thor) I tackled the project of laying down garden fabric at the bottom of my 4 x 8 ft raised bed.  THIS WAS NOT EASY, mainly because this raised bed is FULL OF SOIL.  Essentially, it was a series of shoveling, snipping out the last of the roots I could get to (the best I could at least), laying the fabric, then shoveling again and repeating the process across the length of the bed.

I listened to three full hour and a half episodes of Dan Carlin's Hardcore History. That is a hell of a lot of Mongolian raping and pillaging damage in one gardening session. But! It's done, and oh how sweet it is to be done. My bed is back to looking like I want to take a nap in it.

A job well done.

A job well done.

Let's hope that the gardening fabric is enough...I suppose we can only wait and see!
